How to Keep Your Drains Clog-Free During the Holidays

Throw Food in the Trash

Grease becomes a sticky, gel-like substance when it cools, which is not something you want in your drains. Instead of pouring it into them, pour it into a wide-mouthed jar and let it cool. Then you can dispose of it in your normal trash with the rest of your food waste.

Prevent Solids from Entering Your Drains

Only water, toilet paper, and human waste should go down your drains. Anything else, including cotton balls, feminine products, dental floss, tissues, hair, paper towels, cat litter, Q-tips, and more needs to go in the trash. You can tell your guests you have sensitive drains if you need to remind them of this.
